0W8 apartment

location: Sofia, Bulgaria

year: 2020

area: 60m2

We approached this interior with a clear understanding of the client’s needs—seeking a sense of calm, openness, and order. The layout was reworked by opening the bedroom to the living area through large, floor-to-ceiling sliding doors, allowing the two spaces to read as one continuous volume. Mirrors placed on either side of the bedroom further enhance this effect, extending sightlines and making the relatively compact apartment feel more spacious.

Symmetry plays a central role, establishing the main axis along which the interior is organized. The furniture follows this logic with restraint and precision, shaped by one key request from the client:
“I want everything put away—no clutter anywhere. It should be white, bright, clean, and cozy.”

The guiding idea is simple:
minimalism in the living space,
maximalism behind closed doors.
